MUSEUM MYSTERY
Use the clues, crack the case!

Help us crack the case with a variety of specimens from our museum and aquarium by using the clues provided in Activity Page 1. Once you're ready for the answer and want to share your story, check out Activity Page 2. If at any point you want a deeper dive, check out our list of resources where you can find species profiles, local indigenous stories, and more!

BIOBLITZ
use iNaturalist to ID as many species as you can find at Fort Worden!

May 1st 10 AM -
May 2nd 10 AM

Join the Port Townsend Marine Science Center and Fort Worden State Park for our annual BioBlitz! We will be using the iNaturalist app and website to help us find, photograph, and identify as many different species as we can. Don't fret if species ID isn't your thing. All we need is a good photo!

Visit our pier signs from April 16th through May 1st.
Each of the signs has a letter in the bottom left corner. Use the letters to spell a special word. On May 1st, the day of the BioBlitz, go to the museum portico and tell staff the special word to receive a PTMSC sticker. This is a great chance for some socially-distanced family fun!
